The cool weather left. Our jack-o-lanterns melted. It's back to FL fall, meaning maybe a breeze- but you better be wearing shorts. It was nice to have MOPS on Monday. I did a recap here. That's probably the 3rd time I heard the speaker, and I tend to do our arts and crafts at the library- free and no mess for me. The coffee was amazing and I love the social part. Ruth gave a great mentor mom moment. I'm going to follow up with that this week, I think. Voss and I did story time and the park again. We rode bikes to school on Wednesday. As we're putting on helmets to leave, I realize the girls' tires are flat! I had to pump them all up, then pretty much sprint to school. You know I was huffing and puffing! I got an oil change and car detail, which is always nice. I brought Ellie's teacher dinner- her first day back from a super short maternity leave! Then, golf, soccer and religion. I've been noticing something a little off during the week as I 'mom'. It occurred to me that I'm usually pretty pregnant at this phase of life. On Thursday, Voss and I used an old gift card to Sweet Theory then I went on a 5 mile bridge run downtown. I used to do that run every week with girlfriends back in the day. But, I'm usually pregnant when I have just one child at home. This is new for me. I have all this flexibility. It's kina strange. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. I'm entering into uncharted territory. I signed up for some races so the running needs to be for real now. Friday was coffee club at Katherine's. I brought the Applegate girls with me so I was back up to 4. The conversation was on Universal health care-is it a privilege? Or a right? We had a great conversation. We discussed drugs abuse, obesity, poverty, choices, religion- I mean it took us all over. Although, I guess that's what health care will do. Kat may have finally opened me up to allowing the private sector to step in and see how that works. Friday afternoon we had CEE. I made 2 crock pots of chili. It was just the right amount. We had a great group and covered a bunch. Although, I've got a long list of things to work on for next time. That's always fun. Marly had a soccer game first thing Saturday morning. It launched us into a busy day! Cousins, aunt Suzanne and Mimi & Papa came to the game. Lucky Marly to have such fanfare! My pal, Vanessa had car issues so we took her older two to the next event, Mark's 4th Birthday party. Bounce house and pool! Voss loved all the cars, trains and trucks (Mark is the youngest of 3 boys). We took Vanessa's boys home then went to the next party- the Nixon twins turned 4! Lots of cake! I tried to stay up for the FSU-Clemson game. I made it to half time with my cookie dough milkshake. Then, passed out. This morning we went to mass then b-fast. It was a nice, relaxing day. Lots of chores, homework, naps, boat ride. We did a girls run and picked up some cousins for the run home. We had salad for dinner (to prep for candy tomorrow). It's Halloween Eve!
