Candy! Candy!

Halloween already seems like so long ago! We had a MOPS party with a costume parade. A bit of drama when a little friend hit his head on the side of a chair and went to the ER for stitches! A bit of gore to spice up the party! We did our street then to my parents then to Ortega Forest. We went with some friends around a loop. Phil and I ended the night with Chinese food and the Walking Dead. Yay! Happy Halloween! Tuesday turned out to be crazy. Voss and I did our usual story time. Ms. Bell is back and not very tolerant of kids running around. We went downtown for mass for All Saints Day. I was a bit late picking up Abby, but they were so sweet about it. Abigail had a make-up ballet class. I pushed it too much that afternoon by adding in a play date with one of Ellie's pals. I should have just omitted that one, but you know how I am. I was so scattered and raced home, changed then headed back out for Kindergarten moms night out. That was super fun, just what I needed! The next day my parents helped me by watching the younger two so I could go with Ellie on her field trip to Sweet Pete's. Because that's just what we need- a candy shop right after Halloween?! They tried to make me feel guilty for not buying her candy. Yeah, right! We've got 2 pillow cases of candy! They have been eating it for breakfast before I make it downstairs (I found out today)! It was a pretty neat trip, though. They turned it into a science lesson- making candy! I'm glad I went. That afternoon was soccer- religion was canceled so we went to dinner at the Hollands. Great blue cheese burgers! Thursday was somewhat of a down day- but I ran around doing errands and prepping for the weekend. Friday was moms morning at Costco. Sorta hoakie but it was neat to walk around with friends to see what they usually buy. That afternoon, my pal Kelly from 2nd grade came over with her husband, kids, and in-laws. We got babysitters and went to the TCC party, Gormet on the Green. So! Much! Fun! Possibly too much fun, since it ended at Lillians at 2am! Oh dear! Saturday was super rough since it began so early with a photo session, then a soccer game then we all went to the navy vs. Notre Dame game. Gorgeous day for a navy win! Phil and I felt super popular knowing all these cool navy people. We had great seats! We got into the club, then invited up to the cabanas with the swimming pools! We also took a great pic with a pal who did the fly over! Very cool! That evening I took the girls to a spaghetti dinner then to play at a park. We were wiped out by then! This morning we got an extra hour with daylight savings! We were still late to mass, though. It was a calmer day, though. We did breakfast at TCC then chores. I took the older girls to a Birthday party then we brought dinner to the Thivierges and played in their yard for a while. We did a family rosary, new Sunday tradition then bed. Life is on fast-forward now. Here it comes!
