Breathe in...breathe out...Namaste. So much going on. We had to take a deep breath this week. Monday's MOPS meeting was pretty slack. We didn't even have a speaker...we just traded tips on traveling with kids. Which means, you pick and choose which advice you like to use. I hope it was helpful. It was my sister, Suzanne's Birthday. The family went out for dinner at Kanki, one of those Japanese restaurants when they cook in front of you. The kids loved it. Phil hooked me up by taking the girls home so I could rush to book club to discuss the Paris Wife. Lots of great discussion points! (And wine and cheese!). By having the girls in this Yacht Club ballet class, it really has slowed us down. The class is only 45min long and a mile from the house. So, it makes the morning super easy with plenty of down time, lunch at home. Pretty nice. I still feel like we did something engaging (maybe they do too) but we have all this extra time. Meaning I finish my cup of coffee and possibly brush my teeth. The girls play on the porch. I think I even turned on the Today Show one day this week! After dropping Ellie off on Tuesday, Marly and I had a dentist appointment. Marly received many accolades. I, on the other hand have some crummy teeth (can't say I'm too shocked at this stage of life). We ran to the Freemans for a pizza play date. I did well with exercise this week. I've found these youtube work out videos. Also, I've been obsessed with Game of Thrones. Almost finished with season 2! We spent lots of time at home. Wed and Fri I didn't even plan anything. Friday I had the Leens and Suters over last minute and did crockpot spaghetti for lunch, which worked out well since it finally rained that afternoon. I held off on park playdates thinking it was going to rain in the afternoons but it didn't begin til later in the week. Thursday night was our last MOPS Leadership meeting. I sorta scrambled because Phil and I double booked. He had an event out in Ponte Vedra for work. Luckily, my parents helped. Aunt Susan and Bill were in town so I brought the girls over for a visit then put them down at their house. Our MOPS dinner went well. I had a little gift for everyone to say thank you for helping with another great year. It's bittersweet stepping "down" into a new role. I'm happy to have a break...but will I be okay not having the power? ;-) I'm just thankful it's Tracy taking over. She knows me well. Friday was cool, rainy spring day. Last minute we did Thai and power hour with the Applegates. I think the kids had a ball as well! Saturday, Phil took Marly to Emma's 3rd Birthday. I took the other girls to MOCA, out for ice cream at Dreamette then grocery shopping (thrilling, I know). We got a last minute invite from my buddy, Lauren to the McGala. We rallied and got a sitter and headed out to the Sawgrass Marriott. It was so much fun to hang out with our old cronies. I think the last time we went to this event was maybe 7-8 years ago! Lots of fun dancing with the gang! This morning we went to mass then a run, River Rats registration! Phil played Frisbee at the park. We did a last minute cuatro de mayo party with the Leens and Suters. Today was such a beautiful day, it worked out perfect! So, now we're nice and zen and ready for the fantastic FL spring weather! Cheers!
