It was our first week back getting into the swing of things. School was STILL out on Monday so everyone came with me to MOPS. The big girls were awesome helpers with the babies. Ellie even had Penelope fall asleep in her arms. She loved it. We played at the Holland's afterwards and ran around the backyard. Misty, rainy. I finally got in some long runs. Monday night and Friday morning. Not easy, but done. All the girls went back to school on Tuesday. Voss and I took Huck to story time then the park. We're still listening to Where the Red Fern Grows, (one of my favorite books as a child) in the car (even if it doesn't count for the book charts). Phil and I finished watching the 2nd season of Stranger Things. It's been stressful for him at work- late nights. Thursday was the worst. We miscommunicated and Ellie was late for basketball. I was late for the MOPS Leadership dinner. It was a great night talking about our resolutions and how we're going to stick to them and accomplish our goals. I just sent a check-in picture to keep me accountable for my getting organized goal! I'm still truckin along for dry-anuary! We had a great Indoor playground play date on Friday. Emily even brought a cheese plate! We tried to do a mafia night but couldn't get enough people. So, the Hershorins played poker with us. Matt came back in town for a quick visit after driving across the country! I'm so excited he's back in Florida now! He played a few hands with us. Saturday I got to sleep in until 9! I'm having this allergic reaction to something- I think a shaw I was wearing last weekend. That's no fun and maybe getting worse. Phil coached Ellie's basketball game. They lost but Ellie scored the first goal! The guys went dove hunting. Mom picked me up and took me out for a nice lunch and even paid for the babysitter! That was super nice- what a great break. We met them for 5pm mass at Sacred Heart then went back for burgers and dogs at my parent's house. I'm reading this book "Before We Were Yours". I can't decide if I like it, but I am excited to keep reading. This morning I slept in again then went over to my parent's for omelets. Then we checked out Top Golf. Maybe next time with no kids, or at least just the big kids. But, we had a great time. I'd like to go back. We watched the Jags beat the Steelers! So much fun screaming for them! Glad to see them finally doing well again! Next up is the Patriots next weekend! Chilli dinner and family rosary. I'm happy to be sipping hot chocolate in a cozy house with sleeping children.
