Every night this week, I watched the DNC. I sorta became addicted to it. By Thursday I was camped out with my glass of boxed wine ready to watch by 8pm! It was great! During the day I caught up on podcasts and articles then at night I watched and texted and FB-stalked my conservative friends. It was so good. I feel like my brain grew a size just this week! Love this one! Don't worry, I left the house more this week. Monday I kicked it off with a trip to GA for the spash park. My pal, Jessica met us out there with her boys. I brought dinner to a new friend that night and went for a run. Tuesday I felt inspired. I made sandwiches and we met the Freemans and took the sky way to the library and looked for homeless people to give our sandwiches to. (Except we couldn't find any). We got ice cream and headed back to the sky way and finally was approached by a homeless woman. But she didn't want our sandwiches. I guess that's a lesson learned, too. The thought was redeemed on the way home when we saw a homeless man on the on-ramp. Too bad Steph had the sandwiches! Good thing I had the PB crackers and canned good in my door! Yay! That night was the Swim Team awards banquet. I'm so proud of my super swimmers! It turned out to be a stressful night. Phil left the banquet for a tennis match. Voss and Abby went nuts at the banquet. I was wiped out. Thus began my personal DNC-watching party! I took the middle girls to see the Wizard of Oz on Wednesday. I think we figured out our family Halloween costume! Yay! We met a friend for breakfast at Cool Moose on Thursday then spent the afternoon at the pool. At the pool I had a great conversation with a new friend, Tiffany. Part of the MOPS Starry-Eyed challenge. It morphed into us planning a spring break cruise! Wow! Friday I took on 2 extra kids- the Holland boys- and headed back up to the pool for coffee club. Awesome topic! #blacklivesmatter It was Jessica and I- so no challenge, yet still an awesome discussion. Fun Friday Family night = trip to Costco! Oh wow. I monogrammed a backpack. It was a wild night. The next morning Phil headed out to play tennis. The kids and I hit up the thrift store, library then a girls run to my parent's house to swim in the pool. Lots of cousin fun! It was a hot run back! Phil and I went on a date to 13 Gypsies. Much needed! Then we went to wine club. We didn't stay out too late. This morning was mass. Then I went with a bunch of moms to see Bad Moms. It was a great GNO- laughing! Then we did Sunday Funday at the Applegates for BBQ and pool time. So much fun! Nothing to complain about here. I'm getting excited! Bumper stickers are ordered! Feminism wings are flying! Love it!
