Good thing mother nature reads my blog! This week mostly was beautiful, spring weather! We spent lots of time outside! Parks, the zoo, our porch- it's been so nice! Abby had a play date with her pal, Alice while I had my 6 week check up with the birth center. So now I'm all healed and back to normal...whatever that is! I even went back and read this blog from 2 years ago to re-learn how I handle the newborn phase at this point in life. Do we cry it out yet? Move to the swing or the crib? Oh, the miracle swaddler! Blog saves me again! Aunt Katie went back to DC, but we got in some good visits with her this week before she left. Including a farewell brunch at metro diner. The one crummy day was Friday, but we hit up story time and loaded up on library books so we didn't notice. Marly spent the day with her Godmother for a Birthday treat so I had an easy afternoon with just 2 kids. We did a movie night at Ellie's school that night- Super Hero 6, I think it was called. Saturday was Marly's Birthday! We went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Then, Phil, Voss and I went to the CEE Discerment while Kayla the babysitter took the girls to the park. Phil and I are the new local coordinators for CEE so get ready for some shake ups! We picked up the girls and met the Freemans at e-street for a biergarten lunch. Then we headed to the carnival. We're really celebrating Ellie and Marly's Birthday next week in Disney World but riding rides, face painting and playing games is a great way to celebrate your Birthday! Marly was a happy girl! We even ended the day with her favorite dinner- "TeenaWanna Flats"! Phil and I continued the celebration with sneaking out after bedtime to crash a dinner at FYC then heading to Lillians for power hour! This morning was a little rough, especially with the springing ahead. We took it easy, Phil made a nice breakfast. I went on my first run in a long time! Phil played tennis. Abigail, Voss and I took a nap. We went to the contemporary 5pm mass with our church friends then did a chaotic Puerto Plata dinner afterwards. Maybe a little much for a Sunday night- Voss is still going strong. Whew!
