I'm writing this post using the Weebly mobile ap on my phone, so we'll see how this goes! Well, we made it past the middle week of January! Lots of rain and cold and a funeral didn't help. Luckily we had some fun this week too. Monday was the first MOPS meeting of the year! Pampering with some spa treatments and a massage from my doula and the gift exchange made it great to be back! That night was book club, I finished the book during nap time-whew! We had a great discussion on disaster prep and death and dying. Just in time for Mr. Cleland funeral. I got a sitter for the girls. I've taken them to funerals in the past but this one was just too much. So I was able to have a break. It was a really nice celebration of life for the reception. Almost like a wedding reception at the Yacht Club. We also had 2 fun play dates. We met baby Julianna and played with all the Leens awesome toys! We also wrecked the Browns house then all went out for dinner (and Rita pitchers) at La Nap. That was a fun night catching up with them! We also went to the zoo one morning and I finished watching Breaking Bad! So, now what am I going to do with my spare time? Sleep maybe? Ellie and I went to the circus with our MOPS friends Thursday night! The only down side was getting out at 10pm! Ellie's favorite was the trapeze artists (and the cotton candy!) Friday was very low key. We played with Raja and had a carbo loading dinner at Carmine's. Oh, I did score at the used uniform sale at school for Ellie next year. Kudos to me for being the only Little Hearts mom shopping!! Saturday morning, Regan picked me up and we headed out to Amelia Island for our Half Marathon race! I was nervous! I looked at the race map the night before and the last six miles were a straight shot in the sun on A1A. Turns out that wasn't the worst part (good thing). There were a few miles through Fort Clinch park where I didn't get a signal so no pandora so no music 😲. Other than that it was a great race, even the last bit ending in the beach at the Ritz! So glad I did it! But you know today I am sore! Woooo! We went to the Lear's for the next phase of limoncello making. Then, we came home and had another low key night (I was about to say quiet night but that never happens). Ha. This morning we got up and Phil made a great breakfast and headed to mass. And now we're on our way to Disney World for MLK day! Yahoo! So boo ya to depressing January!
