This was a big week for Princess Elizabeth...her first week of VPK (4 year old preschool)! We started her at Sacred Heart (my alma mater, although they didn't have preschool there back in the day) in the Little Hearts program. She says she loves school! I am loving the time 11:45am-3pm. I know it sounds kina crazy...but it's during naptime for the other two (I moved it up a bit) so I finally get a break again. It took a few days to get Abigail to buy into this. She was enjoying my undivided attention. And Marly didn't always fall asleep so easily but this was just the first week. By Friday I was able to do a yoga dvd and eat lunch in peace. Awesome! The tricky part now if coming up with fun things to do with all 3 in the morning. I don't want to short change the younger girls in this deal. Many of the things we were doing ran right into lunchtime so we have to come up with new stuff. We still do our Tuesday Willowbranch storytime since it starts at 10ish. It's still nice and hot so running & biking to Mimi's for a swim is always a fun option (especially when Aunt Susan is in town!) Wednesday we had the Joneses come over for a super early playdate and Monday we had an impromptu visit from Tabby. The afternoons have been filled, too. Uncle Bill and Aunt Jean came in town for a quick visit so the Kerkezi's and us went over for dinner one night. We also had wine with Aunt Susan and her Bill one afternoon. I had a girls night out on Monday with my old crew. We did the Eat Up Downtown and went to Indochine then Karaoke at dos gatos. Phil caught some sort of stomach bug towards the end of the week. He came home early on Friday, slept all day Saturday and finally began to feel better that night. Friday was a super low key night for me (you know I hate that). I'm almost finished with my book club book, though. Saturday I went with some MOPS pals to Ichetucknee. I was nervous to take all the kids by myself without Phil but you know how I'm sorta crazy and do stuff like that sometimes. And it was good. I needed a mom victory after my Mac store incident from last week. I went with the Bruce and Judernatz family so there was no complaining around those navy wives of steel! I'm proud of my super swimmer, Ellie. I rented a boat and then brought 2 kid tubes for the older girls. Ellie was in the water for a lot of the float. I tied a rope to the boat and she pulled us out of the bushes when we got stuck or closer to the group when we strayed. She was like a little fish in that cold spring! Marly spent the first half sitting in her tube in the boat, then she got brave and traveled from boat to boat liking to paddle in the group. Abigail loved to touch the water, watch everyone and sometimes put her feet in. It was fun! That night we went to chick fil a then Lowes (where I ran into my JU pal, Bre and got caught up!). Today we slept in (Ha!) and went to 11:30 mass. We did a boat ride in the rain and went swimming at my parents. Seafood for dinner and all those worn out girls in bed. Lots of sleepy smiles!
