We had a beautiful spring week! The flowers are blooming, it's Florida hot, you can smell the jasmine, we're outside as much as possible! I love it. Lots of skinned knees, ant bites and "boo boo's" too. That means we're having fun! Monday we jumped right in with a coffee club meeting at the Hill's. It was just us and them so we really didn't even talk about the topic: the missing flight Malaysia 370. It was nice to have a fun thing to get out and do while loads of laundry and unpacking awaited me at home. The Hills is always a peaceful place to go, with the sandbox, tree swing, baby ducks and a homemade sit down breakfast! Ellie was still on spring break so it was nice to not have to rush home. We had lots of fun play dates like this one- over to the Browns one afternoon and the Vogts one morning and the Leens another. We had the Freemans for a bike/garage/spaghetti evening and new friends, the Hinkle's for a play date then last minute dinner out to Tijuana Flats. Marly talks about "KK" so much, I thought she had an imaginary friend, till we saw them at the zoo and she freaked out. So it was nice to finally have a play date with them! The girls are loving the morning ballet class- perfect for us right now! I got out for a MOPS girls night- drinks at Chrissy's. I've been bad at catching up on sleep- staying up late watching my shows (now getting into Game of Thrones!) One afternoon the younger girls and I had a real manatee experience right before we picked up Ellie from school. Check out this video! What an amazing experience! Big news for us- Ellie got into Stockton! As a last minute effort, I filled out the magnet school application. I really didn't expect her to get in, I heard our chances were slim. Well, we got it! Stockton is currently the #2 elementary school in Jacksonville. And this means we're set for school choices through high school. Takes a huge stress off of us! We're really excited!Other news is that Abigail has 2 new teeth on the top, bringing her grand total to 6. She's still not walking but doing lots of the ape crawl. We had a fun weekend. Friday we put the kids to bed then got take out Thai- a nice, relaxing night for us. Saturday Phil made us a great breakfast. We played a family game of tennis at the park then headed to the arts market and then a new pizza place in town. Nap time then I went to the Sleeth baby shower. Loved the drop in tea time with mimosas! Emily came over that night and Phil and I met up with our doppelgangers: the Thompsons! We began at Tapa That then on to Black Sheep for drinks on the roof. So much fun that today was painful. I took the girls to 7:30 mass then we did breakfast at Cool Moose then a MOPS photography fundraiser at Jenny's. The day felt over by 11am! I powered through! Phil and the girls did some fishing and saw lots of ghar, we were green lighted by the Nixons then picked up some pizzas and brought them to the Bentons new house. They moved in last week but still don't have a kitchen! The kids played in the back yard while we caught up. Great way to end the weekend! Happy Spring to you!
