Notice a change? My old prom date has decided to switch up my site. I need to re-read the book "Who Moved My Cheese" so I can adapt. I just spent an hour that I don't have trying to figure this new thing out. Thanks a lot, Ilya! What a week we've had- swinging into a new summer style! Ellie had vacation bible school each night. I'm not sure if it was super cool or super crazy. 5:30pm-8:30pm and I had to sit with her for the first 30min while she ate dinner. I threw a few extra dollars in the basket and fed Marly, too. So at least I didn't have to worry about dinner all week. One night we put Marly in kids park and went for a sushi dinner (while Abigail slept). Another night, I had a girls night and heard all about a new local organization called Rethreaded. It sure made the evenings more crazy, but Ellie had a blast- singing the songs. She asked if she could go back tonight. Each morning she had River Rats- which is the local country club swim team. She's a junior rat so it's not for real- they get lolly pops after each practice. But this is just what I was hoping for- learning to swim the strokes for fun. The first day was pretty rough, I think she was just overwhelmed- but on Friday they had their first meet and she loved it. She got her first two swimming ribbons! In the middle of these two activities we crammed in a few other fun things (since I am a super mom and all)- a baby sign language playdate, storytime and I went to the League of Women Voter's meeting to hear the Superintendent of Duval County Public Schools speak (which was SUPER cool!) The weekend kicked off with horrible weather- flash flooding, trees down. But it cooled everything off after a hot week and didn't stop us from partying with our Westside pals. We even got in a night swim in the Suter's pool...after the girls helped me remove two frogs. Saturday was spent out on the river- tubing and swimming. We did lunch at Tijuana Flats (our new boating Sat fav since it's quick & easy). Last night we went to a dinner & dance at church. The girls loved the nursery while we danced, ate and drank- all for a good cause. I even met the new principal of Ellie's new school. Today is Father's Day. We had a huge breakfast then went to mass. We took the boat to my parent's and enjoyed awesome pulled pork & ribs. We did a little tubing and lots of swimming. I even took a little nap in the hammock! Abigial is teething..or something. I got her one of those amber teething necklaces. She has slept through the night TWICE this week! Beautiful! I even did some work on the baby books this week. Whew! Okay, enough time spent on the site for today. Please be patient while I figure this thing out. But check the video page because I added a few new ones!
