We are in the thick of it...full on party mode! There were a few times this week (like 4) when I can remember truly sprinting around the house, changing kids, re-doing hair bows, yelling and screaming to 'herd my cats', jumping over toys, like a mad woman prepping for the next thing. I wonder what the girls will say about me later. Monday we had MOPS, a wisdom panel. It was yet another fantastic meeting. It's fun being the head honcho, but I am starting to dream of the time when I can just come to a meeting and enjoy a coffee. That night was a real treat. Gara took me to dinner and to see the show, 50 Shades, the musical. Oh man, it was hilarious. Gara and I were laughing out loud for a whole hour! (Pretty much my only cardio this week ;-( We did story time on Tuesday. That night my parents watched the girls while we went to Matt's Change of Command party. It wasn't as wild and crazy as we thought it would be, which is a good thing. I think they were all weary of a school night. Wednesday the girls and I did a little shopping. There are times when I feel like my "to-do" list is out of hand. Wednesday was interesting because Ellie's school was on lock down when I dropped her off. I guess there was a suspect running through campus so they brought everyone inside. I don't think I was supposed to even drop her off but this was a new thing. It spiced up the afternoon. That night we went to Cantina Laredo with the MOPS Leadership team. Eight of us rode together in Allison's SUV. That made it lots of fun! Thursday we went to the DMV to re-new my driver's license. I was lucky that there wasn't too much of a wait and we brought plenty to do. Friday we got up and went to the zoo. It was a little chilly. I wasn't quite prepared for that. Abigail wore a sweater on her legs in the baby carrier. We had a panty incident on the way in the zoo. The good news is that if you go first thing in the morning, many of the animals are out so you can see a bunch. The afternoon was a mad scramble for us. Not sure why I decided to do a grocery run right before our neighborhood party. We went to 4 houses and ate a ton. It was fun catching up with the hood. Saturday, I went to Jamie's Sip N See to meet Baby Phoebe Lynn. Laurie got me with the screwdrivers at 10am! The Suter's came over for a visit. The guys did a power hour while we made Christmas cookies with the kids. Phil's parents drove up for a quick visit. We snuck out to wine club right when they got it that night. Phil tried so hard to be a Cardinal! Today we did a little pre-Christmas since the Bravos were here. Marly got a bike! They all got beautiful Christmas dresses. We had a big breakfast. Phil went to play golf while we went to mass. It was a really nice visit. I'm glad they were able to come up and see the girls. Tonight we went to see all the luminaries in Riverside. The Napoleons had another Sunday night feast. We're having problems with the girls breaking the rules and touching Miss Elizabeth, the Elf. Baby Jesus was stolen out of her arms one morning. And Miss Elizabeth was kidnapped from the dining room chandelier another morning. So, she's been hanging out at the north pole more this week. I hope she forgives us and comes back. We'll see. Abby and I are having a rough nursing week. I'm ready to throw in the towel. So close to one year! We have our family tradition of doing the Advent wreath and calendar each night. Ellie was so excited to see the priest wearing PINK this morning for the 3rd week. It's pretty cute. Everyone is wiped out right now. Time to rest up for another fun, filled week!
