It's cold all over the country right now, even in Florida. And we're not really used to this sorta stuff. We have some indoor things to do for when it rains. But, we've gotten creative for this gloomy weather. The best thing to do when it's cold is to go to Disney World! Just a few hours south can warm things up...especially when you priceline a hotel the morning of and get a nice place with a heated pool and spa! Phil suggested I get a massage in the spa and take a break. He didn't have to ask twice, I booked it before he finished the sentence! That night we had dinner at T-Rex. The girls loved it! We even got everyone to sleep at a decent hour. Score! Monday was MLK Day so we all had a vacation day. We were in Magic Kingdom as it opened. This time we went straight to Frontier Land and rode Thunder Mountain a bunch of times. Marly is almost tall enough to go. Maybe the next visit. We spent the next few hours in Fantasy Land, did a few things in Adventure Land then headed over to Epcot. We did a bit of drinking around the world and had dinner in Germany. I really enjoyed it. I think Phil got a little depressed thinking he had to make it to work the next day (he prefers a Friday in the park). We were still home by 10:30 that night. What's the best way to cure the day after Disney blues? A Birthday party! I love those parties in the morning during the week! Mackenzie turned 3 so we put on our princess dresses to attend a royal ball. Her parents actually made her Cinderella cake- awesome! We had a few indoor days, too. The Browns came over for a play date. We had a monster trip to Target. We did a MOPS Girls night painting Angels for Allison. The after party was at Kathleen's tagging items for Jump N Jax. We tried a new story time at the Murray Hill library, but of course the story time lady was on vacation. Friday we had a fun play date at the Leens. That night was the January CEE Gathering. This time it was at our church, which was super nice! Saturday we split up. Phil took the girls to Duncan's 3rd Birthday- getting on real trucks and digging holes at a farm. Wow! They even had to sign a liability waiver! Abigail and I went with my parent's to watch Owen's basketball game. Then, we went nextdoor for Stephanie's wedding shower. Phil played basketball then we went with him to the park while he played tennis with Peter. Phil and some other parents from the Birthday party threw together a last minute night out. We all got sitters and met out at Mossfire for dinner. Then, we hit up Wallstreet and the rooftop of Black Sheep. You know it's a good night when it ends at Krystals! This morning was pretty rough. And it always coincides with mornings like this when the nursery lady was sick so we had to endure the cry room at mass. We green lighted Tracy and had Uncle Charlie's pizza for lunch. After a week break of running, I'm back at it. I did a 4 mile loop during nap time. Now, the folks are starting to wake up so we've got to power through. At least it's warmer today. Not sure about tomorrow. Happy Winter! Hope you can spice yours up, too!
