It's 6:30pm on Sunday night and my whole family is already asleep. That is indicative of our super fun weekend! That, or I am running these people ragged. Tuesday we got back into the swing of things after the holiday. We met Tabby at the park before story time, quick lunch in the car, then off to school for Ellie. She had dance class that afternoon and was so thrilled to wear her new ballet & tap shoes. Marly skipped a nap, just to spice things up for me. Phil went running with Kevin (as they sometimes do) that night, then I went running with Kevin- a nice, long, night run. Running is not high on my priority list these days- but it's a wonderful stress reliever. And sometimes, I just gotta get out there. I also ran on Wed night with my running group (aka Shea)- lately we've been canceled by rain (or I have something better to do ;-). We had no plans on Wed AND Thur morning, can you believe that?! It sorta worked out until the girls realized we had no plans and threw temper tantrums (so spoiled to have a cool mommy who plans amazing things every day!) but that was fine. It gave me a chance to work on my chores and allow Abby her morning nap in peace (I started hiding her in the guest room off the garage so she could have some quiet). I did take them out to lunch to McDonalds on Wed (chicken nuggets are on the dollar menu), but Thursday we went back to our PB&J routine. We finally got our AT&T installed (it's only taken 3 weeks) and fired Comcast and Direct TV. We went for a quick swim that afternoon, then the Freemans came over for a pm playdate. Friday was busy. We had our first MOPS Leadership meeting followed by an Open House for the new moms joining our group. Tours of St. Marks, lots of cookies and lemonade, 11 new moms, bunch of crazy kids! We took Ellie to school then I spent the afternoon fielding follow up MOPS questions. Our first meeting is tomorrow- very exciting!! We did a family night out to Dicks wings then chick-fil-a ice cream. I tried to get to bed early that night but Abigail had other plans. She's into waking up every couple hours and usually goes right back to sleep. Not so much Friday night. Teething maybe? Saturday we got up and had breakfast then headed out to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, lots of fun. We hopped over the Dames Point for a double cousin baby shower- 2 more baby girls! It was great to catch up with the fam and meet some new pals. Emily came over to babysit for us and we headed to Black Sheep to meet up with the Browns and Meekers for rooftop dining & drinking. That was all we did and it was a late night, just cause we got started late. So you know 7:30am mass felt early! We hit up the Holy Name French toast b-fast after mass (best deal). Time for Tabitha's Birthday party. Tracy went all out making each kid their own baker's hat- which was so cute while they decorated their own cupcake. The girls loved that! We had awesome bbq & local brew and did some swimming. Nice day, but now you know why everyone is sleeping!
